Your first 'Voice Note' from me. What to expect from podcasts here and why I started this space... settle in for a personal share and an expansive invite!
Claire… I’m new to Substack and am just getting used to the surface of how it works. So lovely to hear your north east accent, I write from Manchester. Thank you for your generosity and your sharing… I’m excited about your vision of Substack as a place of a big broom and creativity ❤️
I was recommended Substack by one of my Berklee College of Music instructors. I’m brand new to this platform as of this week! I am a musician, artist, French teacher, and I lived in Basque Country for 6 years where I wrote and recorded a lot of music and made a lot of art. I moved back to New England last year and I’m still heavy into art (I continue to incorporate a lot of the Basque language into my paintings and decorated pieces) and I still write, record and perform a lot of music. I teach French to adults as and would love to share some of my methods with other foreign language fans! Substack is a great place to share and reflect on a lot of my work and experiences. I’m still a bit timid at this point about managing and upgrading subscriptions and peering behind the paywall, but maybe I’ll get there soon! Thank you :)
I think it's such a wonderful expansive space to grow into - let me know if you need any support. Welcome Britta! I had a colleague called Britta once - she was so lovely! Cx
I'm already loving Sparkle. I came here to Substack because I wanted to start writing as myself. Previously I'd blogged as a nurse, writing about nursing and nursing politics, and I knew there was more I wanted to write about, to say, to be....
I’m so excited for this new venture of yours, Claire. I too started my Substack as a place to write where no one knew me, and it has been so freeing to show up here as my true authentic self without judgement. I just love it! I’m so looking forward to your guest, I wonder who it is 😁
I’d love to support you more and become a paid subscriber, the time isn’t right at the moment, but definitely in the future 🤩
