Thank you for talking about this. We need to do better. We need to rally around our fellow women. We need to rise up, encourage and support each other. When one woman succeeds, we all succeed. Believing this platform is solely for small voices for women, caps us. It’s oppression cloaked in a message of anti-metrics. And woman feel it the hardest.
I wrote a post about it that went out yesterday—before I saw Glennon leave. I wish things would have been different. We need to change things. We need to lift each other up with a force wrapped in compassion, kindness and love.
I don’t usually share posts within comments but this is something I can’t stay silent about and something we need to change here. I’ve only been here since the beginning of March so I’m new and I’m shocked. But I’ve been here enough where I’ve connected with so many women. It has changed my life and I believe in the community here. We’re smart and we can change. We need to change. 🫶

Thank you both for this. I was in such a rage I couldn’t see straight but hearing it sussed out helped me sort my feelings. Also realizing that I’ve been keeping myself small for fear of not being the cool poor writer. Gonna take steps to change that now. Big hugs and loves to both of you for showing up for the sisterhood!!!
Aw thank you Rebecca - it all reminded me of something I had to deal with on here when I first started sparkle from other women - it was half resolved but it really lit a fire in me. It's all been so hard to process.
This is a great discussion and thanks for mentioning the business model and how things have to change.
There is a clear misunderstanding of where we are (a social network) and what needs to happen to keep a network alive (add new names to bring new users).
Networks die without new inputs, and the stage of this network is the big name phase. We have worked out way up from where it was many years ago when most writers here were not well known.
Change is change. I’m not saying it’s hard but it’s very predictable.
