"Cheese and chocolate depths" made me giggle 😁

This is an inspiring post Claire. I've only been here a few months but have already made great strides and incredible connections. Looking forward to seeing what 2024 brings for all of us.

Thank you very much! And yes, it's always nice to open my assumptions!

Great Post, I started on substack last year but life happened and I couldn't make it a priority. Really looking forward to writing more and really finding my footing here.

I’ve never been much of a goal setter but I like the vagueness of your example! And congrats on all your success with it 💙

Excited for the workshop! I’ve just sat down at my desk for the first nap time work session of 2024, with a fresh diary/planner. This post hit my inbox at such a good time! Thanks for all you do here Claire ✨

Once again, I enjoyed your post Claire. As a (now retired) local chair of the Federation of Small Businesses, we organized many networking sessions, often tapping into the Worlds leading Gurus via the Big Screen for localized benefit. We taught that planning in the way you suggest is an important tool indeed, and I think that too few creatives grasp the need to consider the value of such thinking. That's fine when one doesn't do it to earn, yet such luxuries, tend to come only later in life. We also taught that every project, every business needs an exit strategy. A concept that perhaps you would like to teach the basics of too ? What say Ye ? My regards to your other half, Peace, Maurice.

Hi Claire,

What time zone are you in for the workshop? I strongly suspect that it will be in the middle of the night for me. If so, where can I leave questions for the workshop?

Thank you. I really want Substack to grow for me in 2024.

Hi Julia! GMT! UK time. You can leave questions for sure I’ll read and answer live and the recording will be there same day. Let me start a chat thread for it so it doesn’t get lost!

Thank you, Claire. That's great.

Also, on this page: https://sparkleon.substack.com/p/substack-faqs?r=506nf&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post , one of the questions you said you were going to answer is this one:

"I want to write a personal blog and hold space for my business; can I do both on Substack."

This question is relevant to me but I don't think you answered it on that page. Where would I go to see what you wrote about it?

Thank you very, very much for your help.

We definitely talked about that! Have you watched the interview with Russell? I’m so excited to put the podcast version out - I got a little behind on them so paused until New Year.

I think it’s a great question and I would say YES and it’s the perfect space for that you just need to guide your subscribers and make sure it’s clear what they are getting and when. You can set up a Substack solely for providing services anyway so the blend is perfect! Over on CC (my other Substack) I hold 4 workshops a year and introduce folks to my mentoring but the rest is creative projects and “personal essays” - there are so many ways with Substack especially if you use all of its features! ✨✨✨

Thank you, Claire. I've worked in the online world for years but that means I have assumptions about how things work. Moving to Substack has made me realize that I either need to shift my assumptions or translate them into Substack-thinking. For the moment, all I feel is muddled! 🤦‍♀️

I'll find the interview with Russell and listen to that. Thank you for your help. I appreciate your support figuring all this out.
