I was like... did she accidentally Substack butt-tag me? But then, this. What a big ass warm + fuzzy treat for a newbie who thought she was in the void all by her lonesome. THANKS, girl!! šŸ„°

As someone who is forever butt-dialling my husband, the thought of a Substack butt-tag made me chuckle.

Your story about the yoga class encounter resonated with me deeply. It's a great reminder that the online world can be a tricky landscape to navigate. Your advice to keep seeking genuine connections, even in the face of setbacks, is so valuable. It's easy to get discouraged, but your words remind us (particularly ME) that there are wonderful people out there who appreciate our work.

Oh so many of them Alexander. I always worry about missing messages now for that reason. I know I definitely have and I hope it hasnā€™t impacted anyone negatively. Substack is built on generosity itā€™s simple to seek it out. āœØāœØšŸ¤©āœØāœØšŸ—ļø

Exactly this. In my experience the positive encounters far outweigh the negative ones - even though the latter are the ones our brains tend to dwell on.

Yes itā€™s moving through it all isnā€™t it thatā€™s the tricky bit but once you become a bit more practised you make the decisions quicker which helps the whole process I find. āœØ

This was such a fun post to read this week. Thanks for sending love back to the community, Claire!

This answers something Iā€™ve been wondering about, whether recommendations make any difference. Also, does that make the tag line that people see for your publication that much more important? Thanks for the wise and fun way you do this work!

This is such a fabulous post, thank you Claire.

I'm learning more and more about what hides behind that seemingly simple list of subscribers (short answer - much more detail than I ever realised).

Thanks for the inspiration.

I just went through my list and found some super commenters on my posts for Aug, so I gifted them a months comp and sent them a little thank you note.

Super ideas! Iā€™m really loving recommendations, but they do go in fits and starts. An awful lot of my new subscribers at the moment are coming from notes! šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøāœØ
