1. be clear (in your ask, your about page, your hero post)

2. don’t overpromise

3. know that you have time and you can do it all in your own time

4. know that you can be messy and beautiful and human and take your readers with you on your journey of how you to decide to evolve on Substack.

5. learn and use your data to your advantage

6. know that Substack is built on foundations of reciprocity.

7. know you are not and do not have to be Lady Gaga! ( or insert name of celebrity, best selling author or person that is impossible to imitate!)

Lady GaGa - relevant in a fandom model on Substack but also I mean she’s just the best isn’t she. I’m seeing her soon!!
