Thanks for asking. My Substack and current autistic hyper focus is autistic preimenopause. I am supposedly writing a book currently on the topic, whilst I homeschool my two autistic sons. So I am beyond maxed out and I honestly don't know what to say because my brain is fluff! I have just had a play with my branding and created a wordmark and logo for my Substack. I find it so hard, despite being from a family of typesetters, graphic designers and printers! 😭
Also it's super tricky as all my work and writing here is in the name of advocacy, and enabling others to self-advocate, whilst sharing research I have read about and offering personal essays to illustrate the disparity of self in my pre- and perimenopausal years. I deliberately haven't paywalled anything and am still fortunate to have a very generous 9 paid subscribers, with almost 500 subscribers over 7 months.
I don't know what else I can do, or what people would like, nor how to motivate myself to do more when I have regressed so much during my autistic perimenopause...
Would be interested to hear your thoughts but no pressure at all 💕
Also, take a deep breath and be super kind to yourself. It is a LOT. I try and just set myself a cadence I can stick to. Whether that is weekly, monthly or whatever that looks like. Just a glimpse behind the scenes and something that has influenced / supported you can be enough. We always feel like we have to offer lots when sometimes just a thoughtful paragraph can pack the meatiest punch.
Thank you, Claire and Lucy. This is incredibly helpful. So succinct and really packs a punch! I have taken lots of notes to action 💕
That is a gorgeous reply thank you so much. What are you focusing on growing / for your promotion right now?

If you find the logo hard than just remember a beautiful font is always better than a mediocre logo so just pick a punchy font that fits your values.
