Today though, I want to talk about something practical that makes selling easier… Substack’s brand new Paid Subscriber Perks feature. If you offer digital products alongside your paid membership, Substack Perks is the perfect partner.
Here’s the re-frame - Sales is Service! Showing up to tell your audience about your BEAUTIFUL offers is the biggest act of service aligned with what you are here to do. Here to do in the universal sense, Substack is just the vehicle!

Substack Perks are a GAME-CHANGER if you offer digital products with your paid membership or subs offer. The design is clean, the uploads are super easy and then it pops them all in a ‘perks’ tab on your navigation bar. I’d like to tidy mine into my ‘membership’ tab but you can’t have it all.
How to add your Substack paid subscriber perks
💬 Will you add some perks? Think journalling download, class replay, a toolkit - there are a fair few options and you don’t have to take people outside of Substack as they also gave us a live video option…

Substack Perks are also a GAME changer for being able to articulate the depth of the offer within your paid tier.
Here’s my advice on how to approach ‘selling’ your paid offer on Substack…
You want to build an evergreen sales page (search ‘page’ in your settings)
List the value, the transformation, the depth of the archive, the cost, the currency conversion in USD, CAN, AUS and EUROS.
Think about your ideal reader - what their thoughts and feelings are when they wake up, what they want, what they don’t want… circle back and WRITE to them
Link to your pub url and ‘subscribe’ or inset the subscribe buttons and if they are a free sub they’ll see ‘upgrade to paid’.
If you are a free sub you’ll see ‘upgrade to paid’

Talk about your why - if you’ve not done the 5 whys exercise I highly recommend to get yourself feeling MORE purposeful. 3
Don’t make it TOO too long…
Use this page everywhere - pop it in your email footer, link to it from your about/ hero post, your socials - get some traffic to it.
Re-read it often - stay connected to the energy of what you’re selling, your why and who is showing up for you…
