Hi if you’re new here - I’m Claire.
My work here is in service to creatives who also write. I teach joyful, sustainable growth here at Sparkle on Substack and run two other publications here too.
I’m an Engagement Consultant and Mentor for the creative industries working to deepen connection with art, words and interactive experiences. I live on the Northumberland coast with my family and my favourite place is the beach with a flask of tea on a warm summer’s day.
Hi all,
How’s everything feeling on your Substack publication? ✨
I love the start of a new month and chapter (quarter) on Substack. Time to dig in, reflect and set some intentions and goals for the next quarter.
I really enjoyed hearing from you all in this post about the goals you are thinking of setting for yourself here on Substack for the next quarter…just getting round to replying to you all. 🥰
Q. What do ALL of my posts have in common?
A. They grow and deepen my relationship with my community!
Q. What do ALL of YOUR posts have in common?
What’s the BEST thing that could happen for you and your Substack in the next 3 months?

A new workflow
I change my workflow for Substack every three months and plan out three months at a time leaving gaps for flashes of inspiration and other ways to use this platform outside of providing a service and writing. I use my Substack Planner.

Why Reflect…
I thought I’d share a snapshot reflection of my dashboard ahead of our reflection and goal setting class for my members on Monday. We’re going to take the decision making OUT of your posting schedule to free you up to write.
In class we’ll cover;
How to resolve the follower/ subscribe issue - ie actually get folks to subscribe rather than follow you on Notes. 1
Reflections on how we’ve felt Jan - March and what the stats tell us.
Our workflow for April - June
I always think it’s important to do the work on reflecting so we are setting the right goals. It’s also super important to CELEBRATE the work we’ve done and see what has felt good, what feels slightly crunchy and where the space for growth is. (Both personal growth and publication growth).
March was SUCH a vibrant and creatively charged month for me. I paused on the podcast so I had time to re-organise my site to help beginners navigate the resources, trial some new pushes for paid members and launch a new community initiative.
