This article just brought me so much joy. Thank you, Claire! I a taking the day today to learn more on substacking better, so I will be exploring your work probably all day. So sorry in advance if you get a lot of comments from me today.
Yes it’s quite complex I think it terms of the reconditioning, the right to choose, better understanding what lights us up and keeps our audience engaged. I know my podcast impacts people so deeply and I love doing it so that part is a no brainer. I like the writing less now because I feel like it’s all been said BUT I will still write the “helpful” posts and seperate to that write my heart out for my book. 📖 I hope you have a wonderful year Paige!
it’s honestly been the nicest companion in my ear amongst the chaos of motherhood and trying to listen to my brain and make sense of it all x so much insight x
Really insightful to hear how less can be more — especially carving out space for deeper creative work instead of constant output. I just shared a short chapter exploring purpose, identity, and how work shapes us in profound ways. Thought it might connect with what you’re talking about:
Thanks for sharing your more and less lists. I appreciate your experience and perspective. BTW, I also like In and Out lists. Perhaps that’s a fun idea for you to play with in an upcoming essay.
Lovely read, thank you, Claire. Trying to carve more time out to read articles on Substack this year. I lost a lot of momentum and time in the second half of the year xx

Oh I'm here for it lovely - I'm so glad these posts are speaking to you. Here for you if you need advice!
Thanks for posting this. It really has me thinking..
Oh really? What you thinking? I feel like it evolves for me every new year I’m here.
The idea of choosing to do less of something…it’s a way of letting this year be a new year by applying wisdom instead of just keeping on doing.

Isnt there a way to automate SEO crap?
I dont like AI, but this SEO stuff looks like a real AI task.
Why doest substack do this for us?
If you know SEO you can do it well… but most of us don’t think like a search engine which is where chat GPT comes in 😂
:-) exactly
Thats why it would help to keep a level playing field.
They should give GPT the task and stop wasting our time with bureaucracy.
Yes let’s! Maybe sense check every 10 😂
We need less bureaucracy, and more time to focus on what really matters.
All this SEO stuff ... somone should do a fishslapping dance with the people who want us to jump through SEO hoops.
I adore you! 🩵🩵🩵
Ditto sweet cheeks! 🌈 🦄

That was a fun phase! Ooo I might just do that Beth!
I like it when we creators restack, recommend, and share ideas!
