I’m going live this week with a little video to explain referrals because my gut is telling me we should be using these and our inbuilt publications recommendations WAY more… I’ll add it in here.

I know Notes has been tricky this last few weeks but remember you don’t have to go on there at all, you can bookmark your inbox from the app or desktop…

Top Tip - Your navigation bar is prime real estate so take ‘leaderboard’ off there and replace it with something that better serves your audience. NB - Substack automatically added ‘leaderboard’ to all our publications when they rolled out the scheme.

Referrals are gifts you can set up for your best pals on the platform. The people who keep sharing your work and inviting others in.

💡 Ideas for shares

• Share your referral link in your subscriber chat and on notes

• Share the breakdown of gifts you offer

• Put the link in your footer

Top Tip - to be listed on someone else’s leaderboard you have to turn your profile from private to public… I got the nudge in the last email I got about this to do that.
