Yes! ππ» Thank you for the tip on turning the stats off. My numbers have been slowly trickling down but then bump back up, and looking at it was giving me the ick.
I have kept my Substack free precisely because I havenβt wanted to be committed to a publishing schedule or offerβ¦ only to find that Iβve mostly committed myself to a schedule that I created out of a sense of scarcity. Iβm in the process of undoing this and planning a βsummer breakβ for myself in August where I post pieces from the archive.
Couldn't love this more Claire and was a delight to wake up to this morning!π Your words resonated in so many ways for me. My app is deleted and now I know how to get rid of that pesky dashboard - brilliant! I will book mark this post for my next Substack wobble (there will always be another wobble) and use it to keep me on the right track. Thank you so much.π
Thank you so much for these reminders Claire β¨ They always seem to show up just when I need them most.
Iβve found myself less worried about my numbers over the last few weeks, but more worried about my lack of writing/posting. Iβm in a busy season of life being a new mother and Iβm not sure how I want to show up for my writing at the moment. Instead, apart from the odd post here and there, Iβve decided to give myself some time off to recharge over the summer. Iβve posted more or less every week here (except a couple of short breaks) since September 2023, and I want to take a little time to realign and work out what I want this space to look like for me going forward x
Aww I'm glad... That sounds like such an intentional and beautiful move Jenna - in the thick of the early years I launched my 'beautiful reality' voice notes over on CC and just sat and recorded in the mess for 11 minutes - I'm so proud I did it... there is a season for everything and breaks on any level are SUCH fuel to us mums I think. xx
Thank you Claire, Stats are hidden now. Up to a nice and relaxed summer and beyond πΈπβοΈ
Yay - Itβs such a lovely surprise every time I go on.
Loved this chat so much βΊοΈπ

Yeah I just needed to find a tiny container to self express.
