"Claire is the QUEEN of Substack"
Hi, ✨
How’s your day going?
WELCOME to
- this is the space to be if you want CREATIVE support with your Substack and you’re curious about growing in a joyful, sustainable way here. After writing my Stay Creative on Substack emails every single week for a few months over on my main publication Creatively Conscious, I realised there will always be so much to say about this wonderful platform and the people who share their gifts here.
Sparkle on Substack was born in July 2023 and I’m delighted that we are here together growing our audiences and our creative voices together.
I’ve been writing here on Substack since April 2022 and since then I’ve grown my community to over 8000 readers and over 350 paid members. 🤩
I’d be delighted to support your journey whether you want to be here for the free reads or deeper support.
If you’re looking for a QUICK way in how about;
About Me
👋🏼 Hi, I’m Claire - a slow lived entrepreneur, an engagement consultant, mentor and I absolutely adore Substack and teaching other people how to use it. I have over 20 years of experience of managing festivals, events and arts development projects. My projects are award winning.
I started writing here in April ‘22 with ZERO readers and teaching about Substack and how to find and use your creative voice here and stay creative with the platform in March ‘23.
My lovely Substack and Instagram friends flocked to my first masterclass and I was completely overwhelmed and so so happy I could share in what I’ve learnt.
Many of them went on to set up Substacks of their own. You can read some testimonials here.
Since then, I’ve worked with artists, journalists, best selling authors, influencers, small companies and huge global movements to help them start and grow their Substack platforms. My consultation packages are available upon request.
Here’s a beautiful article on reaching 1000 subscribers from one of my 1-2-1 clients and members.
I became a Substack bestseller in October ‘23 too (that means over 101 paid subscribers). They give you an orange badge for that! 🥰.
I’m working on 1000 paid subs as a next milestone - maybe it will take me five years, maybe 10?
But I LOVE the journey - come with me?
I’ve grown my writer profile from 0 to over 8000 subscribers in less than two years and I am so excited to share all the tools and lovely ways with it all.
How does Sparkle on Substack work?
I send out an email called ‘Stay Creative on Substack’ each season. We chat in the comments about staying creative here, troubleshoot on the tech side and share our blocks and our challenges. If you are BRAND new to Substack and feeling overwhelmed head here.
I host and regularly update a page of resources to help you better understand the platform.
I also host a podcast focussed on intuitive growth in intentional ways with special guests and voice note updates all about Substack from me each month. Check it out here.
You can join us over in Membership sparkles for two calls a month where we explore all the tech and creative solutions for your Substack. These calls, my community posts and resources change EVERYTHING here for my members. It’s a mix of accountability, support and breathing your Substack into being! It’s transformative and so so supportive!
You can grab the canva template for these page breaks by signing up to receive emails from me here at
The templates are in your welcome email along with 108 other templates for you to customise and use as page break images in your posts.
Let’s pause and go wide
Because I am and I work a lot with neurodivergent folks, I noticed our eyes need a break from text, a page break is a kinda reward for reading a chunk of text and it gives us a moment or two to absorb what’s being said.
If you want to geek out on this stuff read this article about studies of eye tracking heat map of where our eyes go when we are reading the internet. Some fascinating insight on cognitive load.
If I asked you 5 things you can remember reading on social media today it would be hard to recall but here on Substack we seem to switch on our long form interest and absorb the beautiful words written here.
Finally for now,
Lots of us have had conversations about using social media less and less since being here on Substack. ✨📱
I’m convinced it’s to do with considered spacious content, quality writing and page breaks! There’s nothing icky, no ‘fake engagement’ and so much space to hone your creative voice.
We’ve written here in the way our authentic voice has wanted us to and taken
‘s lead to invite others to slow down and listen.Listening intently (both through the written words and audio) to what other humans have to say in a gracious way with pauses and all the integrity and it’s all just glorious.
So what do you want to say?
Your readers are SO ready to connect with you!
Claire
